Six complete or near complete gypsum casings in the Yorkshire Museum storerooms will be transported to Nuffield Health in York to be CT-scanned to detect the presence of any objects or grave goods that might be contained within the clothing and shrouds covered in gypsum. Virtual 3D models of objects (up to 12) will be generated, which can subsequently be printed to feature in museum exhibitions.

The rest of the gypsum casings and fragments will be x-rayed (with the exception of one in a lead sarcophagus) with a portable x-ray system to determine if objects are present, which can be projected as 2D images.
